Ad Hoc SQL Server Help
4 hours, no long-term commitment
Hi! Sorry about missing a few weeks…did you notice? I’ve been working all month to refine a new offering from Dallas DBAs. Also had to get the books over to my CPA.
Over the years, many of you have said some version of this to me:
“I don’t need a long-term contract — I just need a DBA for a few hours.”
So we built something intentionally simple.
Introducing Ad Hoc SQL Server Help — a short-term, time-boxed way to get real SQL Server DBA assistance without signing up for a retainer or a long engagement.
Why this exists
Because sometimes:
It’s not a full-blown emergency… yet
You’re stuck, unsure, or just want validation
You don’t want to explain your entire environment to get one question answered
If that sounds familiar, this is for you.
What it is:
Up to 4 hours of SQL Server DBA help
$500 flat (USD), prepaid
No retainer
No long-term commitment
You bring the problem, we help you stabilize, validate, or get unstuck.
Good fit for:
Performance issues
Configuration questions
A second set of experienced eyes
“Is this actually broken or just noisy?” moments
Accidental DBAs and overloaded sysadmins
Important (please read)
Bare metal servers or VMs only (on-prem, colo, AWS EC2, Azure VM)
Not Azure SQL DB, Managed Instance, or other PaaS equivalents at this time
This is scheduled help — not on-demand emergency response
Not for: corruption, development work, DW/BI stacks, or licensing questions
Before anything is scheduled or paid, we confirm fit with you first.
No false starts. No crushed expectations.
If this sounds useful — now or later — just email:
Even if you never use it, I wanted my regular readers to know this option exists.
Sometimes you don’t need a new vendor.
You just need someone who’s seen this before.
